[Luxembourg] PhD Studentships in Virology, Laboratoire National de Sante

The Institute of Immunology of the Laboratoire National de Santé/CRP-Santé in Luxembourg offers, at earliest convenience, positions for: 2 Ph.D. students in Virology

We seek highly motivated applicants who enjoy working in a stimulating and international environment. A strong academic record and a keen interest / knowledge in virology / immunology of human and veterinary viruses is essential. Research project focus on the antigenic and genetic variability of viruses (tick-borne pathogens/viruses, and respiratory viruses including (avian) influenza).

The project includes epidemiological and surveillance aspects and the development of diagnostic strategies. Immunologists are expected to be interested and experienced in cellular immunology, cytokine expression, and/or the regulation of glucocorticoid receptors and other steroid receptors.

Our Institute is well funded and fully equipped with top-of-the line instrumentation.

Proficiency in English and scientific writing skills are a must.
