Research within the School is divided into three main groupings:
- Applied Social and Health Psychology: highlights forensic psychology, new Centre for neuro-developmental disorders, social cognition
- Behavioural Neuroscience: highlights functional brain imaging, neuroscience of ageing, EEG/ERPs of perception, action, epilepsy, neuropsychology, pain
- Peception, Cognition and Language: highlights mechanisms of depth perception, eye movements in reading and object naming, cognitive development, dyslexia

Applications are accepted at any time until end of July, but it is recommended that students submit applications sooner so that they are considered for the full quota of studentships that are available.
