[UK] PhD Studentship in the Centre of Human & Avian Influenza Research at University of Edinburgh

PhD Studentships Interdisciplinary Centre for Human & Avian Influenza Research (ICHAIR)

ICHAIR is an exciting new initiative supported by the Scottish Funding Council involving expertise in virology, inflammation biology, structural biology, epidemiology and evolutionary biology working together in an interdisciplinary research programme on influenza.

Up to six PhD studentships are available at the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews in the following areas:

- population dynamics and virus evolution

- influenza virus-induced disease

- the control of infection and disease

The studentships will be based at one of the three partnering institutions, with up to three at Edinburgh, two at St Andrews and one at Glasgow. Further information on the studentships can be found on www.cid.ed.ac.uk
