UK: PhD Studentships in e–Healthcare and Computer Vision 2007

UK: PhD Studentships in e–Healthcare and Computer Vision, Kingston University

The Faculty of Computing, Information Systems and Mathematics invites outstanding candidates to apply for two PhD studentships. Partly funded by EPSRC in recognition of its existing research activity, the studentships provide an excellent opportunity for original research at the boundary of applied and scientific computing. These studentships will provide for maintenance (£12,500 for the 2006/7 session) and fees (for EU candidates only). Some of the projects offer enhanced bursaries of £15,500 pa for strong candidates.

As the Faculty’s research interests focus largely on Distributed Programming, e-Healthcare, Computer Vision and Mathematics, these studentships are tied to the specific set of research projects listed at cism.kingston.ac.uk/research/vacancies/ (although closely related proposals are welcome). Candidates are strongly encouraged to informally contact the project leaders named on this vacancies website.

Please return the application form (quoting the project reference from the vacancies website) an academic CV, references and any other documentation to Mrs B Tang, Research and Enterprise Officer, Faculty of Computing, Information Systems and Mathematics, Sopwith Building, Kingston University, Penrhyn Road, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 2EE.

Closing Date: 28 February 2007
